Exploring the Blidinje Nature Park from Borova Glava
Borova Glava: Panoramic view of Blidinje
Borova Glava is a peak near Blidinje Lake. At 1317 m/altitude, it is located right in the middle of the Blidinje Nature Park and therefore offers excellent views in all directions. From here, the view of Čvrsnica takes on a completely new dimension. It looks so unrealistically close that you can see the outlines of cliffs and their shadows, as well as trees swaying next to each other.
The ascent to Borova Glava takes only half an hour, and you can ascend from two directions. For this reason, it is possible to do a circular tour here, so during the return to the starting point, you can also go to the immediate vicinity of Blidinje Lake.
At the very top, there is a large cross, and the location is excellent for photographs that clearly show Blidinje Lake and Čvrsnica behind it. On the other side, it is even possible to see hikers up on the ridge of Vran Mountain. At the heart of it all is the Blidinje Mountaineering Lodge, where you can start and finish your walk and rest afterward.
