GATHERING OF MOUNTAINEERS IN MASNA LUKA

The mountain idyll in Masna Luka is the ideal location for one of the largest gatherings of mountaineers in the region. The occasion for this traditional gathering is the anniversary of the death of mountaineer Ivica Plazonić from Kaštela, who was tragically lost on Čvrsnica. 

The memorial gathering was initiated by the Malačka Mountaineering Society from Kaštela, and soon after, the HPD Pločno from Posušje joined the organization, leading to this event growing into a respected regional mountaineering gathering. Mountaineers, nature lovers, and recreational enthusiasts from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region come to Blidinje to enjoy various organized mountaineering tours and conquer the peaks of the mountains our Park offers. 

Friendly gatherings, enjoying the campfire, competing in old sports, a rich communal lunch, and participating in the holy mass in Masna Luka are all part of this gathering of mountaineers in our Park, which traditionally takes place on the second weekend of July.
