Required equipment for hiking tours in Blidinje Nature Park

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VISITORS:

  • It is mandatory to wear sturdy footwear that protects the ankles (hiking boots).
  • It is mandatory to bring items to protect you from worsening weather conditions (raincoat, jacket, etc.).
  • It is mandatory to carry a backpack with enough food and water to be used until returning to the starting point (minimum of 2 liters of water per person).
  • Do not rely solely on mobile signal; study the path you will be taking thoroughly. Having a map of Blidinje Nature Park is desirable, but you should also remember key points such as trail intersections, as they could be helpful.
  • For easier hiking tours, it is always best to start early so that the tour can be completed before dark (this approach provides more time for enjoying the scenery, nature, and a slower pace that reduces the risk of injuries).
  • Tours that involve watching the sunset imply returning to the starting point at dusk, so a flashlight must be brought along for such tours (one flashlight per person).
  • It is mandatory to protect yourself from the sun (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses).
