Galuša: The best view of the magnificent Čvrsnica
If you’re looking for a location from which the massiveness and grandeur of Čvrsnica are best seen, then this is the place.
Galuša is a 1418-meter-high peak of the Vran Mountain. It is located right next to Dugo Polje, which immediately suggests what kind of view you can expect of Čvrsnica. To reach Galuša from the field, you need to ascend about 230 meters in altitude, and each of those 230 meters is worth turning back and admiring the view of Čvrsnica. At the top, you’ll want to stay as long as possible and surely return again. The ascent itself is not overly demanding and takes about 40 minutes at a very leisurely pace.
On the other side of Galuša is the peak of Vran at 2027 meters above sea level, so the view of it and the steep trail leading to the top is admirable. The White Trail of the Via Dinarica also passes over Galuša, along whose markings our tour is guided.
