Rural Olympics in the Blidinje Nature Park

Blidinje Nature Park is the perfect place for all ages, large and small groups of visitors, team-building activities, and the best annual vacations. All of this is complemented by the numerous activities we organize and tourist attractions within the park, which are on average a 10-minute drive from each other. Perhaps you’ve already done your tour of the park, climbed one of the many hiking trails, or taken a stroll on one of the easier walking paths, but have you tried the village Olympics with friends and colleagues?
In the heart of Masna Luka, under the canopy of the white pine tree “Munika,” which is itself a cure for the soul and body, you can enjoy the best company along with old games that are forgotten elsewhere but are preserved, cherished, and organized for visitors here in Blidinje.
The village Olympics take place in the organized campsite in front of the Masna Luka Mountain Lodge and Visitor Center. The campsite has everything necessary for a safe stay in nature. It features areas with thick tree canopies that provide shade during the summer. There’s a spring of clear mountain water in the campsite, and there are meadows that provide space for various activities. Since the campsite is near two excellent facilities, the sanitary facilities are always accessible, and for the youngest participants, there’s even a mini zip-line.
The village Olympics in Blidinje Nature Park consist of five disciplines in which competitors test their strength, speed, as well as skills requiring resourcefulness and agility. These five disciplines include: standing long jump, stone throw from the shoulder, tug of war, balance beam battle, and sack race. All necessary equipment is provided for each discipline, and the guides for the competition are the same individuals who built this camp from scratch and who ensure every year that the camp is tidy, clean, and mowed.
Socializing, active leisure, and fun competition where an overall winner is not sought, but participants compete in a friendly manner against each other through the mentioned disciplines. After going through the competition, the best way to relax is to enjoy the gentle sounds of the tree canopies and birds, or take a walk to the Church of St. Elijah the Thunderer, which is not far from the campsite. There’s also a designated dining area in the camp, so you can let your imagination run wild.
Whether you’re coming for your team-building or visiting the park with friends and loved ones, this activity is great for enhancing your gatherings and creating unforgettable moments. The village Olympics bring excitement, laughter, tense finishes, thrilling turnarounds, and much more. Participants are also the most loyal supporters, and in the Olympics, everyone excels at something.
