Historical Trail: From the Sovićke Vrata to the Grave of Diva Grabovčeva
In Blidinje Nature Park, many events have unfolded throughout history that are forever recorded and documented. To ensure that this story remains alive after centuries, we have created this trail leading from Sovićka Vrata to Diva Grabovčeva’s grave.
Walking through the lower areas below Vran Mountain, accompanied by our licensed guides, you will learn why the hajduks sought refuge on that mountain and why they sought revenge for Turkish oppression. With a leisurely pace and pleasant storytelling, you will reach Diva’s grave, where you will hear the story of Diva Grabovčeva, her strong faith, and the unfortunate fate that befell her at that spot.
This tour also offers beautiful views of the Blidinje Nature Park area around Dugo Polje and Risovac, as well as the entire ridge of Velika Čvrsnica above, so along with historical facts, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park.
