The most recognizable symbol of the entire Blidinje Nature Park is the Hajdučka Vrata.

Located on Čvrsnica, Hajdučka vrata has been declared a protected geomorphological natural monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1985.

In addition to its beauty and its position, which offers excellent views of the Diva Grabovica Canyon and the neighboring Prenj mountain, many legends are associated with the Hajdučka Vrata. One of them is connected to the hajduks, who are a symbol of the Blidinje region. According to legend, boys who defected to the hajduk gang and joined the group of hajduk Mijat Tomić had to pass through the Hajdučka Vrata in order to become bulletproof. This is where the name Hajdučka Vrata comes from, and some also call it Mijat’s Passage.

The circle is made of rocks and is five meters in diameter. It is located at 2000 meters above sea level, and the view down the slope behind them descends to the Diva Grabovica Canyon at an incredible 1800 meters.

The easiest way to get to Hajdučki vrata is from the direction of Vitlenica/Muharnica. The climb takes approximately 3.5/4 hours and is classified as a medium difficulty climb. Nearby on the trail is the Vilinac Mountain Lodge and a shelter in Zaglavlje, which can be useful if the weather gets worse.

The most popular destination in the world of hiking in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond is precisely this phenomenon. Hajdučka Vrata is visited by thousands of tourists every year, which results in excellent promotion of this entire region, which is becoming increasingly recognizable throughout the world due to its exceptional beauty.

The Hajdučka Vrata is very fragile and sensitive, so we always recommend not standing directly under it, but taking pictures a few meters in front.
