Ski season in Blidinje Nature Park
Winter joys at the Risovac Ski Center
Alongside all the attractions that Blidinje Nature Park offers, the exploration of interesting and new things never ends. When winter arrives and covers Blidinje with a thick layer of snow, this park becomes the main destination for winter sports enthusiasts from the region and beyond.
Within the Blidinje Nature Park, situated on the slopes of Čvrsnica mountain, is the ski and recreational center “Risovac.” Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, it features several slopes and two ski lifts. One of them is a four-seater Doppelmeyr chairlift with a capacity of 1942 people per hour and a length of 929 meters, starting at an altitude of 1293 meters and ending at 1548 meters; the ride takes about 6 minutes. In addition to the chairlift, there is also a small T-bar lift, a Doppelmeyr ski lift with a capacity of 563 people per hour and a length of 262 meters, starting at an altitude of 1290 meters and ending at 1346 meters; the ride takes about 2 minutes.
For the youngest visitors, there is a small ski lift for beginners, right next to the T-bar lift. Besides ski slopes, there is also a sledding track for the youngest ones.
At the Risovac Ski Center, there is also a skiing school for beginners and those who want to improve their skills. Skiing on one of the three slopes equipped with chairlifts and the four-seater lift, with a capacity of approximately 2000 people per hour, or simply enjoying nature in some other way that suits you, will fill your winter day in our park.
Nothing can be compared to the beautiful whiteness that envelops the spaces of Blidinje during the winter season. It’s wonderful to come to this idyllic place and surrender to the charms of nature; to recreate on the ski slopes or simply take a walk and enjoy the peace and quiet
