Muvarnica Forest Park: The Lungs of Blidinje Nature Park

Muvarnica Forest Park covers an area of 500 hectares. It can be described as the lungs of Blidinje Nature Park. Tall trees of spruce, pine, and beech make this forest an oasis of greenery, peace, and silence, as well as a perfect location for observing numerous forest inhabitants of both plant and animal worlds.
Through Muvarnica, there is also a hiking trail that ascends to the high slopes of Čvrsnica and continues further towards Veliki Vilinac, Veliki Kuk, and Hajdučka Vrata. The first part of the trail takes about 40 minutes of walking through the forest. It is not overly demanding, and the trail constantly goes under the canopy of centuries-old trees, providing shade during the summer heat. The ultimate goal of this trail is a viewpoint from which you can see the magnificent peak of Čvrsnica – Veliki Vilinac. The viewpoint offers a view of a large number of jagged peaks below Vilinac, some of which are Lomivrat, Stog, Dvostruki Kuk, Trostruki Kuk, Mali Vilinac.
Although the trail gains altitude throughout, this part through the forest is considered an easier hiking trail, making it ideal for those who may not withstand high-altitude mountaineering but are eager to taste the charms of this hobby.
