Blidinje Nature Park is rich in history and many legends that have been passed down through generations. From stories about outlaws like Mijat Tomić, to historical monuments like stećak tombstones, every trail and corner of the park carries its own unique part of the history and culture of the area. Blidinje is also known for its historical landmarks such as Diva Grabovčeva and Masna Luka, which further enrich the cultural heritage of this unique nature reserve.
OVER 1500 PLANT SPECIES, MANY OF WHICH ARE ENDEMIC
Blidinje Nature Park is home to about 1500 plant species, among which more than 200 are endemic, relict and subendemic. This park represents one of the richest flora habitats in the region, including the largest habitat of the endemic whitebark munika pine. This diversity of plant life contributes to the uniqueness and importance of Blidinje as a natural reserve of national and international importance.
